Supply Chain Manager / Supply Chain Lead. £60 - £80K

I am working with an exciting business experiencing some significant growth. They are looking to establish a robust purchasing department to allow them to take the business to the next stage. Key to the role is experience of setting up and developing internal processes, establishing key vendor partnerships, implementing cost reduction strategies, and developing the function as a whole.

Key to the role is the proven ability to develop and implement a supply chain strategy for the business and ,additionally, experience of international sourcing, sub-contractor management and the ability to build a supply chain.

The role is offered with a salary ranging from £60 - £80K, depending on your level of relevant experience, and what you can bring to the role.

Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement supply chain strategies to optimize efficiency and reduce costs
- Oversee the entire supply chain process, from procurement to delivery
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure smooth operations and timely delivery of products
- Analyze business processes and identify areas for improvement
- Conduct root cause analysis to address supply chain issues and implement corrective actions
- Utilize supply chain management software to track and analyze data
- Monitor inventory levels and coordinate with suppliers to ensure adequate stock levels
- Manage logistics and transportation activities, including coordinating shipments and optimizing routes
- Implement continuous improvement initiatives to enhance supply chain performance
- Provide leadership and guidance to the supply chain team

Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in supply chain management, logistics, or a related field or proven experience in supply chain management or a similar role
- Strong knowledge of supply chain principles and best practices
- Proficiency in using supply chain management software
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to conduct root cause analysis
- Knowledge of continuous improvement methodologies such as Kaizen
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams
- Familiarity with logistics operations and transportation management would be useful but is not essential

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Salary: £60,000.00-£80,000.00 per year
