Position Summary:
To carry out audits against various Standards, predominantly BRCGS Food, in accordance with documented procedures and maintain full notes of all such audits.
Key Job Responsibilitiesincluding but not limited to:
- To carry out supply chain food safety audits against client specific standards, predominantly BRCGS Food
- To produce full accurate assessment reports within the timescale agreed with the customer or laid down in procedures or to the scheme requirements
- To keep abreast of developments, issues and legislative changes pertaining to the sectors in which assessments are carried out
- To carry out specific project work or other tasks as agreed
Job Requirements & Preferences:
Experience:
- A minimum of 5 years post graduate experience in an Industry or quality management
- Experience in BRCGS Food auditing with previously approved categories e.g. Dairy, Ready to Eat, Cans and Jars, Beverages, Alcoholic Drinks etc.
- Ability to work with our clients to achieve the standards required
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:
- High level of technical aptitude
- Excellent time management, organisational skills and attention to detail
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, i.e. Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, etc.
- Respect for individual and Company confidentiality rights
- Motivated, willingness to learn and positive attitude
- Support a culture of continuous improvement
- Show commitment to personal and team development
- Demonstrate a flexible approach
Education & Certification Qualifications:
- Minimum of HNC or equivalent in a food or Bio Science related discipline
- Successful completion of a Lead Assessor course
- Level 3 HACCP
Physical Demand/Travel Requirements:
- Most work is performed in the field at food manufacturing sites across the UK & Ireland
- Majority of time spent working independently from a remote location
- Required frequent overnight travel by car or plane (75%+)
- Required to stand or walk for long periods of time
- Required to operate a motor vehicle and have a valid driver’s license
- Extensive use of computers and other electronic equipment
- Ability to follow client and regulatory required safety practices
- Moderate physical effort required (ability to move 50 lbs. from one area to another with assistance)
