Job Description

Job Title:Subcontracting Coordinator

Hours: 37.5 hours per week, Sunday - Thursday, 09:00am - 17:30pm

Job Location:Cramlington

The purpose of this role is to register samples on to the LIMS system in an accurate and timely manner. Sub-contracting samples for outsourced analysis and transferring samples between sites. The role holder will be expected to ensure the customer experience is maximized through accurate and timely performance of duties relating to receiving customer samples and outsourcing for sub-contracted analysis.

Key Accountabilities

  • Manage the sub-contracting journey from initial query point of sale through to testing completion.
  • Accurately follow standard operating procedures for the registration, sub-contraction and transfer of samples between sites.
  • Act as a technical support to outsource pricing and testing requirements with sub-contracting labs.
  • Outsource pricing with subcontracting labs to ensure we fulfil customer requests.
  • Preparing POs via IFS and updating the PO log.
  • Liaising with sales to ensure they are aware of updated/new pricing for sub-contractors.
  • Where required provide cover and support to the overall sample registration function.

Qualifications

Essential:

  • Degree level in chemistry or related science based subject or equivalent

Desirable

  • Experience of working within the food industry
  • Experience of AIS LIMS is advantageous
