We have an exciting and rare opportunity for an enthusiastic and passionate Student Veterinary Nurse to join our Leeds Kirkstall practice.Our practice is bright, spacious, air-conditioned and purpose built to industry leading standards and has state of the art equipment including digital X-ray and in-house laboratory facilities.This is a full-time role working 40 hours per week, to include 1 day at college. There will be requirement for extra work at home to successfully complete your college work. Your training will be undertaken at the College of Animal Welfare. Normal Student Veterinary Nurse training take 30-36 months.We are looking for an Individual who has a keen interest in the Veterinary Industry and Animal welfare.Excellent customer service and patient care is extremely important to us, so we are looking for individuals who share our high standards and work ethos with effective communication skills and be enthusiastic about giving the best service to our clients and their pets.You must have a minimum of five GCSEs at grade C or above (4-9), including English Language, Mathematics and a Science subject.The ideal candidate:You are the friendly and welcoming face for the client and their pets when they arrive at the practice.You are able to provide guidance by keeping yourself fully up-to-speed with the practice services and any additional services available.You are calm, attentive, and always focused.You will bring enthusiasm and drive to your role.Your passion for service is matched with your love of pets.You can deal with everything that is thrown at you, from comforting a client who has had some bad news about their pet or sharing in the joy of a new puppy’s first visit to the vet.Your personality is infectious and along with your fellow colleagues, you create a welcoming and friendly atmosphere in the practice.Before applying, please ensure you read the Royal College of Veterinary Surgeons (RCVS) Fitness to Practise: A Guide for UK Providers of Veterinary Nursing Education and Student Veterinary NursesIn return, we offer benefits which include:- Competitive salary reflective of your experience level
