Facilities are responsible for all property services on behalf of the University, including cleaning, landscape, security, accommodation, hospitality, sport, capital development and general maintenance of the Estate. We are committed to creating a welcoming environment for all staff, students and visitors from around the world.

This new role will support the works of the Estates Operations Team through inspection and carrying out remedial works related to all hard landscaping surfaces within the university estate.

Main duties include

Regular inspections to paving, hard landscaping and other external hard surfaces across campus

  • Deliver hard landscaping improvements and enhancements to improve the overall estate
  • To effectively carry out mason repairs to include relaying / repairs of all types of footways, pavements and hard surfaces across the campus estate. Surfaces to include pre cast concrete flags, kerbs, edgings concrete, block paving, natural stone materials and bituminous materials to correct line and levels.

Excellent customer service, high levels of initiative, attention to detail and the ability to effectively multi-task are essential elements of this role.

This is a campus- based post, required to work full time with some weekend work required.
