Lancaster University’s Department of Sociology is seeking to appoint a Practice Learning Coordinator for the department’s Social Work programmes. This vacancy is part-time (0.6 fte) and you will join us on an indefinite contract.

You will demonstrate a high degree of professionalism, excellent interpersonal, communication and IT skills and show close attention to detail. Experience of working in a social care environment and experience of student facing systems are an advantage.

You will work closely with the relevant members of academic and professional services staff, taking responsibility for the coordination and administration of the department’s placement seeking and allocation process; including maintaining records, and communicating with placement students and tutors.

You should ideally have administrative experience relevant to the role, and of communicating effectively with a wide range of people, working as part of a team and able to work to tight deadlines.
