Street Fundraiser

Job description

We’re looking for confident, charismatic and sociable people to join our face to face fundraising teams across Glasgow! If you’re passionate about charities and social causes, love meeting new people and thrive in a vibrant environment this could be the perfect role for you!

Hours: Monday to Friday, 10am-6pm

Pay: £9.50-£13 per hour (depending on experience)

The Role:

As a street fundraiser you will head out with your team each day to different busy high streets (and occasionally locations such as a railway stations and shopping centres). You will engage in conversations with members of the public who are out and about, informing them about the incredible work the charity you’re representing does. The aim of the role is to inspire people to become long term financial supporters of the charity.

The Charity:

We work with a number of different charities whose missions vary greatly - so whether you’re passionate about tackling bad housing and homelessness, eliminating poverty, fighting climate change or driving political change, we can match you up to a charity where you’re going to thrive!

The Ideal Candidate:

You don’t need to have any previous experience for this role - you’ll receive full training! Instead, we’re looking for people with big personalities who are truly passionate about driving social change and who are activists at heart!

The role really suits people who have previously worked in people facing roles, such as bar work, hospitality, retail and customer service roles. Likewise it suits someone with a telesales or call centre background.

Recent graduate? This could be your perfect first step into the charity sector! A lot of our fundraisers have previously studied politics, sociology, international development and social sciences.
