Storeman / Logistics controller

Our Client in Tamworth / Coleshill area is Looking for Storeman / Logistics Controller for an immediate start to the right candidate with the possibility for a permanent position on offer.

Shift: 39 hours per week. 0700 - 1600 Monday - Thursday. 0800 - 1200pm on Friday

Salary; £20,000 - £22,000 D.O.E

Primary Tasks
  • Booking in goods and completing goods inwards traceability
  • Support basic inspection tasks
  • Verifying quantities
  • Simple dimensional checks
  • Visual Inspection of surface treatments
  • Visual Inspection for damage
  • Kitting of components into jobs
  • Ordering of consumables / PPE / welding gases
  • Forklift daily checks for trucks in unit A
  • Movement of goods around the facility
  • Preparing movement notes for subcontract activity
  • Raising delivery packing notes for completed jobs for customers.
  • Chasing suppliers for missing paperwork
  • Planning delivery routes
Secondary Tasks
  • Upkeep of stock control levels of fasteners
  • 5S activity and business improvement initiatives
  • Any other reasonable request
Essential Skills
  • Microsoft office user and general IT literate (preference Epicor)
  • Ability to read engineering drawings.
  • Full UK clean drivers’ licence
  • Attention to detail.
  • Forklift Licence
Desirable Skills
  • Crane licence with lifting and slinging experience
  • Awareness of engineering processes
  • Experience of business improvement skills and practises.
