Salary: Band 7 £40,057 to £45,838 per annum prorata

Based: Talking Matters Warrington, Ribban Court.

This role is based in the Talking Matters Warrington IAPT Service and is central to the ongoing development of the low intensity service provision within Warrington. The successful candidate will work alongside the Senior PWP, and within the wider Talking Matters Warrington management structure to ensure support and guidance is given to the step 2 workforce and that the needs of the clients Talking Matter Warrington serves are being met.

With the significant operational management component of the post this is an opportunity for an experienced Graduate Mental Health Worker or PWP, or equivalent experience, who is enthusiastic and excited by the development of low intensity services to share their interest and passion, and to develop these qualities and skills in others. It represents an opportunity to further and/ or develop operational management experience and career opportunities within low intensity treatments.

Within the role the post holder will manage both Qualified and Trainee PWP’s. They will hold responsibility for the line management of the low intensity team and the responsibility for the ongoing recruitment, training and development of the Step 2 team.

The post-holder will hold a qualification (Post grad dip/cert) in Low intensity working or Primary Care Mental Health work or equivalent experience.

Duties Include
  • Provide a service that is flexible, as far as possible, to meet the demands of the client.
  • Provide appropriate line and performance management supervision to staff who work at Step 2 of the service.
  • Identify training needs to ensure staff working at Step 2 are able to maintain professional standards.
  • Motivate Step 2 staff to maintain volume of clinical activity required by the service and assist with diary management, when required.
  • Promote and contribute to the development and maintenance of a healthy therapeutic culture within the service amongst colleagues and the people who use the service.
