An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Band 5, Staff Nurse to be part of the newly formed OPAT service at Sandwell and West Birmingham Hospitals NHS Trust. The post requires flexible working between the acute sites and patients’ homes to administer intravenous antimicrobials over a 7-day week. Providing a high-quality service that is patient-centred is important to us and the successful candidate will be a highly motivated and enthusiastic nurse with a flexible, dynamic approach to patient care.You will be responsible for a specific patient caseload, undertaking clinical assessments, monitoring patient progress and contributing to the OPAT MDT.You will be responsible for a specific patient caseload, undertaking clinical assessments, monitoring patient progress and contributing to the OPAT MDT.Sandwell and West Birmingham NHS Trust (SWBT) is an integrated careorganisation with a budget of approximately £600 million and over 7,000 staff.
