Then look no further - we are looking for a kind, caring and compassionate Staff Nurse to join ourgreat team of dynamic, supportive, creative and forward thinking Outpatient Nurses.

This is a rare and exciting opportunity to work as a qualified nurse, in an acute, newly formed NHS Foundation Trust Hospital, with multiple specialities, fantastic diversity and a vast array of training opportunities.

Our Outpatient Department runs a broad spectrum of clinics, including Allergy, Cardiac, Cardiac Surgery,Haematology, Medical, Respiratory, Neurology, Neurosurgery, Vascular, Diabetic and Endocrine.

Experience in an outpatient setting would be desirable, but is not essential.

Main duties of the job

Act as patient/carer advocate at all times

To work unsupervised, providing nursing care to patients attending the department

Prioritise care and delegate workload activities as appropriate

Undertake a wide range of clinical duties relating to different specialities including Allergy, Cardiac, Cardiac Surgery, Haematology, Medical, Respiratory, Neurology, Neurosurgery, Vascular, Diabetic and Endocrine.

To assess , plan and implement care in consultation with the multi disciplinary team , supervising care and treatments administered by junior members of staff

To have the professional skills and knowledge to work using own initiative whilst undertaking a wide range of clinical duties relating to the different specialities including being able to act appropriately in emergency situations

Works without supervision within the outpatient care setting in the absence of the Senior Sister/ Charge Nurse.

Job Description Job Responsibilities

Provide high quality evidence based clinical care to patients, in line with the Trust values and in accordance with professional regulation

Work with others to protect and promote the health and wellbeing of those in your care, their families and carers, and the wider community

To work in line with Trust policies, objectives, protocols and local guideline

To act as a role model communicating in line with Trust values, to patients, carers and the staff at all times

Accept delegated responsibility for specific activities/areas from the senior nurse in charge, recognising and working within the limits of your competence

Take every opportunity to continue to maintain and develop your own practice

Facilitate students and others to develop their competence through supervision, teaching and role modelling.
