Are you an experienced Nurse with an Acute background seeking a better work/ life balance? Does the idea of working 8am-6pm and only 1 in 12 weekends interest you?

The Endoscopy Department at Musgrove Park Hospital is a fast paced and varied environment, where you would be able to learn and develop your nursing or Endoscopy skills.

We have opportunities for Registered Nurses to join our highly skilled and motivated team, working across our 3 room unit at Musgrove and our single procedure room based at our Bridgwater Hospital, we also carry out ERCP’s within our x-ray department, and general anaesthetic lists in our Day Surgery Centre. You may be required to work in Bridgwater once trained and working autonomously (which usually takes around 6 months from your start date)

The ideal candidate will have Critical Care, ED/ AMU experience. You don’t need to have worked in Endoscopy, but you will have a good understanding and be able to give a comprehensive explanation of how the department works.

You’ll spend your day assisting Gastroenterologists, Surgeons and our Nurse Endoscopists with a range of specialised and technical procedures such as colonoscopy and gastroscopy. You’ll be able to follow the patient’s journey through the department, from gaining their consent and preparing them for their procedure, helping them feel at ease, to assisting in their recovery and after care.

This is an ideal opportunity for an RGN looking for a better work/ life balance, as the core hours are between 8 – 6.30pm weekdays, with the opportunity to work weekends one fully trained.
