Job overview

STA Domestic Assistants support the Trust in delivering a clean and safe environment for both service users and staff.

The hours of work are: Saturday and Sunday 09:00am to 14.00pm.

10 hours per week.

Weekends are paid at an enhanced rate.

CWP has adopted the Living Wage. Where the standard Agenda for Change hourly rate is below Living Wage, pay will be supplemented to this level.

Main duties of the job

We are looking for an enthusiastic STA Domestic Assistant to join our Facilities Team in the Facilities Department at our Bowmere Hospital site. Successful candidates will receive full training and a uniform will be provided.

You will be required to work as part of a team and be flexible within your working approach e.g. cover for annual leave and sickness. Previous experience in a domestic environment would be advantageous, if not training will be provided.

Qualifications

Essential criteria
  • General Education
  • Hold or willing to undertake accredited Level 2 award in cleaning
Desirable criteria
  • NVQ Level 2 in Cleaning
  • Food Safety qualification

Knowledge and Expertise

Essential criteria
  • Ability to accept and prioritise instructions
Desirable criteria
  • Previous NHS cleaning knowledge would be desirable

Experience

Essential criteria
  • Good understanding of cleaning services
Desirable criteria
  • Previous experience in Domestic Services and/or catering.
  • Previous experience in dealing with the public
