This role will report into our Director Procurement -Utilities. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams of sourcing, operations, legal, finance and other colleagues to develop strategies delivering efficiency improvement, emissions reductions, minimal capital investment, and cost reduction in applicable EMEA categories. Additionally, you will manage external partner relationships, including direct oversight, performance evaluation and negotiation of contractual obligations of key service providers. We are seeking a team-oriented individual who is passionate about energy and sustainability, and excited to join our team to drive significant operational and environmental improvement across the organization.What will you do?
  • Lead efforts in EMEA to identify, develop, and execute opportunities to source cost competitive conventional and renewable energy
  • Manage Corporate utility service partner (Schneider Electric) and analyze related performance data to drive strategic priorities and improve supplier performance
  • Provide market and financial insights to support regular energy forecasting and internal budgeting/planning processes
  • Identify and implement opportunities to be better stewards of our resources through finding ways to improve energy efficiency, reduce our carbon footprint, and minimize waste
  • Engage and support Division/Site teams and other colleagues to ensure energy procurement and demand reduction strategies are aligned with business goals and priorities
  • Coordinate continuous regional supply evaluation efforts to support the proactive identification and mitigation of energy-related risk
  • Stay informed of technical, market, and regulatory developments in the energy industry and communicate key trends, risks, and potential impacts to internal stakeholders
  • Leverage energy modeling and statistical analyses to develop conventional and renewable supply solutions
  • Support the continued evolution and implementation environmental sustainability program details, goals, and progress to internal stakeholders
How will you get here?Education
  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering or energy-related field. Master’s degree is preferred
  • Professional registration and/or CEM, LEED, CPSM certification
Experience
  • 10 years’ experience in energy markets, energy trading, power contract negotiations, energy regulations, renewable development, or energy generation technologies
  • 5 years utility procurement experience with strong category/business engagement experience, preferably in life sciences, medical device, or pharmaceutical industries
  • Proven track record to evaluate new energy markets, utility tariffs, policies, power contracts, or evaluating new energy sourcing opportunities and technologies

  • Strong leadership skills within a multifaceted and complex organization with a diverse set of perspectives
  • Experience in a continuous improvement environment with a track record of achieving significant year over year results
  • Excellent written, verbal communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to work effectively at all levels of the organization
