The LIMS Project Manager works as part of a team of highly qualified specialists delivering professional services to the customers related to the implementation of Thermo Fisher Digital Science LIMS and other software products. Specifically, delivering project management services, taking ownership of the entire project, driving the execution from a process and resource perspective, and leading the Thermo Fisher delivery teams.

What You Will Do

Main Activities / Responsibilities
  • To manage Digital Science professional services projects and lead technical delivery teams within projects.
  • To deliver high quality consultancy relating to Thermo Fisher Digital Science professional services projects.
  • To take accountability for the performance and results of the delivery team and set priorities for the team to ensure task completion in agreed time, cost, and quality.
  • To plan, manage, and control the delivery of work packages and sprints in agile projects.
  • To work with customers at all levels and be present onsite when required.
  • To ensure QMS processes for professional services are followed for all projects.
  • To deliver accurate and timely information on project budget, forecast and billing.
  • To request and assign resources to projects from the EMEA resource pool and report accurately and timely on their planning and availability.
  • To escalate project issues/escalations in a timely manner to the PMO and/or services director.
  • To work within the PMO to develop and optimise project management practices and deliver standard and methods.
  • To participate in sales activities: being a member of bid teams, estimating professional services projects, writing professional services proposals and statement of work, and taking part in negotiations related to services in the sales cycle.

Desired Skills And Experience

Minimum Qualifications

Education
  • Bachelor’s degree or higher in scientific or information technology field.
  • PMI Project Management Professional (PMP) or equivalent certification highly desirable

Experience
  • At least 2 years of professional working experience in project management.
  • Proven experience in customer facing role with direct interaction or contact with a client and external customers.
  • Experience in working in international and intercultural environment.
  • Working experience with LIMS systems as key-user, project manager, or implementation consultant.
  • Significant relevant experience in industry and laboratory informatics.
  • Project management experience in managing LIMS and LIS would be a plus.
  • Experience with GxP regulations, pharmaceutical industry, and regulated environments is a plus.
  • Know-how laboratory automation and quality processes would be a plus.

Knowledge, Skills, Abilities
  • Fluent in French and English with excellent oral and written communication skills with a high level of professional confidence.
  • Organized with ability to prioritize workload, manage responsibilities, and work under pressure.
  • Ability to solve problems and in negotiation skills.
  • Respectful of deadlines.
  • Flexible with respect to teamwork.
  • Demonstrable experience in leading a team.

  • Travel required up to 30%
