Currently, we are looking for a Sr. Mechanical Design Engineer Designs, develops, modifies and evaluates standard techniques, procedures and criteria for large projects of modest scope. Determines design approaches and parameters. Analyzes equipment to establish operating data conducts experimental tests and evaluates results.

About The Job
  • Lead a team of Mechanical Design Engineers in Chippenham.
  • Design, develop, modify and evaluate standard techniques, procedures, and criteria to meet project requirements for new product development or enhancement (power semiconductor modules, assembly technology, power electronics).
  • Analyzes equipment and processes to establish operating data conducts experimental tests and evaluates results.
  • Determine root cause analysis and testing activities to successfully meet the requirements of the project.
  • Responsible for planning, implementing, and managing compliance of manufacturing and production processes with internal and external safety, quality, and regulatory standards requirements.
  • Other duties as assigned.
About You
  • Bachelor or university degree in Engineering
  • 5+ years of similar work experience
  • Deep knowledge of engineering practices (analytics, 6 sigma standards, statistics skills)
  • Experience with manufacturing companies preferred
  • Advanced knowledge in MS Office
  • Experience working with CAD (a must) and FEM (beneficial)
  • Strong analytical and communication skills
  • Fluency in English
