Our Littelfuse Semiconductors Business Unit Product Engineering Group in Chippenham is growing and is looking for a new team member. Reporting to the Lead Product Engineer, you as a Product Engineerwill work closely with Development Team and will be responsible for assisting in the evaluation and rating of new and existing high-power semiconductor products. As part of the role, the successful candidate will have to liaise closely with Littelfuse customers to provide support where necessary.

About The Job
  • Evaluate new and existing products (Thyristors; Diodes; IGBTs; GTOs etc.) and write technical reports
  • Produce data sheets for Littelfuse products
  • Carry out qualification tests on products (Electrical; Mechanical; Thermal)
  • Perform non-standard tests according to customer requirements
  • Answer technical inquiries from our customers
  • Build strong relationships with all related Littelfuse departments to liaise and interact effectively

About you:
  • HNC or bachelor’s degree in electrical/electronic engineering
  • At least 3 years of relevant experience and a wide range of practical skills
  • Good knowledge of oscilloscopes, data acquisition software, circuit building, and measurement of components under live dynamic operation
  • Good communication skills and ability to analyze results and prepare technical reports
  • Flexibility and ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines
  • Ability to work using own initiative and with a methodical approach
  • Previous customer interface experience is a plus
  • Previous experience of working within the power electronic industry would be advantageous
  • Experience in testing electronic components to IEC standards would be beneficial
