Brockenhurst College has an exciting opportunity for a Sports Technician to join their dedicated and enthusiastic team. You will be working on a part time, permanent basis 32 hours per week , in return, you will receive a competitive salary of £17,189 per annum pro rata.

We are a high-achieving college who attract around 2,800 sixth form students across the region each year. We are based within the stunning New Forest National Park and offer our students a huge range of courses and superb facilities.

As a Sports Technician Your Priorities Will Be To
  • Support the functions of Sport and Exercise Department, Sports Centre, Sports Academy and the College
  • Be responsible for the safe, secure and appropriate storage of all Sport and Exercise Department / Sports Centre equipment
  • Provide administrative support to Sport and Exercise Department staff in relation to lessons and activities
  • Preparing, setting up, clearing away and storing apparatus, equipment and material for lessons
  • Issuing of equipment and materials to students and staff and maintaining accurate records of its use
  • Complete daily checks of equipment / stores and maintain equipment for Sport and Exercise Staff
  • Carrying out periodic stock checks and stocktaking
  • Assist with ordering of Sports Equipment
  • Manage the Laundry for the Sport and Exercise Department
  • Complete daily checks of the Sports Facilities to ensure they are clean
  • Prepare the Sports Facilities for matches
  • Be responsible for out of season maintenance and storage of posts and other equipment
  • Assist with the Sports Centre Health and Safety procedures, carrying out risk assessments
Our Ideal Sports Technician Will Need
  • Educated to at least GCSE Level
  • Ability to use various IT Packages (Microsoft Outlook, Word , Excel)
  • A willingness to undertake appropriate Continuous Professional Development
  • The ability to work at a practical level to offer technical support
  • A background in sport, sports coaching and sport and exercise science
