WILDS LODGE SCHOOLWilds Lodge School – RutlandSpeech and Language TherapistPermanent, Full time and Term time onlyNHS Band 6 (£35,392-£42,618)To start as soon as possibleWe are excited to offer the opportunity for a dynamic and qualified Speech and Language Therapist to join our school.Job roleThe appointed candidate will work as a Speech and Language Therapist, providing therapy services to pupils across our three sites. Duties include the delivery of speech and language therapy assessments and interventions ensuring that programmes are integral to the student’s education and development. You will have sound knowledge and use of a wide range of speech and language therapy methods and interventions for children and young people with social, emotional and mental health difficulties, autism, learning disabilities, and other special educational needs.This position offers excellent professional development opportunities, together with professional autonomy.   • A degree or equivalent in Speech and Language Therapy
  • Extensive and relevant experience post registration
  • HCPC and RCSLT membership
  • Full driving licence
  • Well-established knowledge about developmental speech and language disorders and communication disorders associated with complex conditions and emotional/behavioural disorders
  • Experience working in an educational setting with young people with social communication disorders (desirable)
About Wilds Lodge SchoolWilds Lodge School is an independent 38 week specialist boarding and day provision for boys and girls (girls are accepted as day students only) for students aged between 5 and 19 with social, emotional and mental health difficulties, set in Empingham, Rutland.
