An opportunity has arisen for an enthusiastic and highly motivated Radiographer to join our dedicated team of Cross Sectional Radiographers providing high quality imaging services.

The department benefits from a GE Discovery MR450 1.5T MRI scanner and the installation of a new Canon Aquilion One Prism begins in July 2022.

Applicants will possess BSc / DCR(R) in Diagnostic Radiography, HCPC registration, excellent team working skills plus appropriate CT/MRI experience. Consideration will also be given to those with no previous cross sectional imaging experience as in house training can be given, however the candidate must be an experienced Radiographer. The hours are 37.5 hours per week.

To perform routine radiographic and more specialized examinations i.e. CT and MRI.

The successful applicants will be based at Prince Philip Hospital but will be expected to be flexible in their approach to the needs of the service and may be required to work at other sites within the Health Board.

You will participate in Radiology Directorate’s shift roster and on call rota as required.

Prince Philip Hospital is a great place to develop your skills and gain specialised knowledge in CT and MRI. We actively encourage role development of staff supporting our CT Radiographers to train in IV cannulation, image appreciation and act as practitioners for specific CT examinations in line with IR(ME)R 2017 and local protocol.

The ability to speak Welsh is desirable for this post; English and/or Welsh speakers are equally welcome to apply.
