  • Work as part of a specialist multi-disciplinary community service providing care for non-resident adults and Young People with Eating Disorders in close liaison with the multi-disciplinary team.
  • To implement, evaluate and modify highly complex care/interventions.
  • To lead development and implementation of evidence based protocols and standards of care.
  • To contribute to home re-feeding programmes and group work as appropriate.
  • To act as a source of expertise and provide consultation, education and training to other Dietitians and health care practitioners within Child and Mental Health Services and other services as appropriate (including Paediatric and Universal services).
  • To provide expert dietetic advice to support service planning and development and engage in aspects of clinical governance in accordance with trust requirements.
  • Provide Supervision to Students on clinical placement and to team members.
  • Participate in relevant organisational research/audits programs.
Nb whilst the role will be primarily 9-5, mon-fri, there will be an expectation that the successful post holder will be able to work flexibly according to service need, for example to contribute to home re-feeding and/or group work in the evenings and some Saturdays.An exciting opportunity has arisen for a friendly, enthusiastic, confident Dietitian to become part of the Community Dietetic Team delivering community healthcare within the West Lancashire All Age Eating Disorder Service. The permanent post will be based at Ormskirk district general Hospital Ormskirk. But flexibility to work and travel around the area is required.We offer a mentoring and clinical supervision programme with an experienced clinician for those new to community work.Your role will involve the assessment and implementation of care plans for patients in their own home, care homes and community locations including community hospitals. Assist in the training of health care professionals and carers and maintenance of IT systems that support patient care.
