Solutions Architect

Radbroke, Knutsford

As a Barclays Solutions Architect with the Cloud Engineering team you will be joining a dynamic group that look after the end-to-end delivery of technology across the entire Barclays Contact Centre. We architect, build, develop and release software and infrastructure for core contact centre platforms, dialler, WFM/QM, contact recording speech analytics and biometrics, complex self-service applications and other customer channels to give customers and agents a consistent cross channel experience.

What will you be doing?

  • Creating production and presentations of architectural visions and end-to-end designs for AWS Cloud based solutions
  • Defining and shaping architectural strategy
  • Providing technical vision, leadership and direction to multiple feature teams
  • Providing project governance in terms of conforming to architectural standards and strategy
  • Working with Scrum methodologies delivering solutions in an Agile manner
  • Providing a world-class customer/client experience, underpinned by a lean cost base, solid controls and a culture of collaboration, innovation and high performance
  • Being the steward for capabilities/technologies, setting ongoing roadmap and direction, ensuring all components remain in support and conform to standards
  • You will be responsible for co-ordination of technical impact assessment activities for proposed solutions

What We’re Looking For

  • Experience in architecting enterprise end-to-end solutions focusing on Cloud based technologies, specifically AWS and software/application architecture and integration
  • Experience of enabling Cloud adoption in a large scale environment, from inception to delivery
  • Experience of migrating from traditional on premise architecture to Cloud based solutions
  • Experience of producing and presenting technical architecture documentation / proposals to senior design authorities

Skills That Will Help You In The Role

  • AWS Solutions Architect Associate qualification
  • Competence in the execution of substantial IT delivery programmes
  • Solid track record of stakeholder and technical management
  • Demonstrate exposure and input to strategic innovation, creating value for the business and ability to adapt innovation in other industries to the customer

Where will you be working?

You will be based in Radbroke, Knutsford. The Barclays Technology Campus just outside Manchester is our tech command centre and a vital strategic powerhouse behind our global operations. The campus is set in a 64-acre self-contained site, in a beautiful green environment and it offers unrivalled facilities for work and for play. We have an onsite gym, as well as outdoor tennis, football and cricket areas, as well as onsite restaurant and coffee shops.
