Solution Designer

Radbroke

As a Barclays Solution Designer you will our join our Global Technology Infrastructure Services (GTIS) function and work with colleagues to deliver an accessible and user friendly self-service channel enabling our GTIS customers to access GTIS products through a self-service website. You will predominantly perform design, development and support of existing and new products being integrated into the Skylight Platform, understand Skylight Platform vision and business needs to define product requirements and product architectural solutions.

What will you be doing?

  • Developing architectural and design principles to improve performance, capacity, and scalability of platform and product
  • Working with Product Owner / Release Engineering in planning and execution of new product releases
  • Working with domain, product management and product engineering teams in the solution engineering efforts
  • Working with product management and Service delivery teams in solution demonstrations.
  • Maintaining product roadmap and architectural standards that assure product development projects optimally align with business objectives
  • Defining product validation policies to deliver products that meet system and project expectations
  • Facilitating the creation, review, and sign off of project deliverables

What We’re Looking For

  • Technical Business Analyst or a very business minded Developer
  • Experience in articulating business outcomes, features and elaborate user stories that support teams in delivery of functional requirements
  • Broad technical understanding of GTIS and Cloud technologies
  • Proven delivery track record and desire to contribute to real change

Skills That Will Help You In The Role

  • Understanding of .net / angular framework, C#, server engineering, middleware, storage, DevOps, - would be advantageous
  • Experience in solution design, including an understanding of the design process
  • Knowledge of what our Developers and RTB communities do on a day to basis and their challenges in using GTIS tools
  • Excellent stakeholder management skills

Where will you be working?

You will be based in Radbroke, Knutsford. The Barclays Technology Campus just outside Manchester is our tech command centre and a vital strategic powerhouse behind our global operations. The campus is set in a 64-acre self-contained site, in a beautiful green environment and it offers unrivalled facilities for work and for play.
