Moore Barlow is currently seeking a Solicitor or Chartered Legal Executive to join our leading (Band 1 Chambers & Partners, and Tier 1 Legal 500) Medical Negligence Team based in Richmond.

We are different - although a Top 100 Law firm, and one of The Times’ Best Law Firms of 2024, we strive to be ’Human First’ in everything we do. This means we truly care about our teams as well as our clients. We give people the space and flexibility in where and how they work to provide the best experience to our teams and clients alike. This means much more than just hybrid working – we are ambitious and seek to be recognised as the best law firm to work for. Whether you work within our legal teams, or one of our support functions, you’ll find a career with Moore Barlow rewarding with plenty of opportunity for personal growth and development.

Our Medical Negligence Team has a strong reputation as a leading team in the South-East and beyond. Our dedicated and highly experienced team of lawyers is committed to providing a first-class service to patients and their families who have sustained avoidable injuries due to medical negligence. We are now seeking a Solicitor or Chartered Legal Executive with around 1-4 years’ post-qualification experience to join our team.

This is the perfect opportunity for an ambitious and dedicated Solicitor/CILEX who is looking to take the next step in their professional development. You will be provided with exemplary training and support from our leading team of legal professionals. You will have the space to develop your skills at your own pace and take the lead on complex matters, with recourse to support from the Partners as required.

Day to Day

  • You will be building strong relationships with our clients and their families, ensuring they receive a supportive service throughout the duration of their claim
  • While you will be responsible for managing your own caseload of matters, you will also be involved in more complex and protracted matters that require collaboration with other members of the team
  • You will be encouraged to provide a highly attentive, supportive, and client-focused approach.
  • You will be trained to review and analyse a significant quantity of medical records in order to help you decide if a case has merits.

What we look for

  • A qualified Solicitor or Chartered Legal Executive with 1-4 years’ experience working as part of a medical negligence team.
  • We would also be interested in hearing from qualified individuals with a mixed medical negligence/personal injury background, those with defendant medical negligence experience, and those with prior experience working in the health sector.
  • Great communication skills, and a passion for achieving the best outcomes for clients who are going through an extremely difficult time in their lives.

Above all, ours is a friendly, empathetic and expert team and as such, we are seeking an individual who is able to demonstrate a caring and client-focused mindset, and a passion for achieving the best outcome for the clients we serve, and the Firm.

If you would like to learn more about this opportunity, please contact Brandon Duchesne, Talent Acquisition Manager, for an informal and non-committal conversation.
