Multi-accredited firm in East London seeks a Crime Solicitor on a full-time, permanent basis.

This is an opportune time for a skilful solicitor to join our client’s thriving practice as a crime solicitor with the vision to help grow the team. The successful applicant will handle a complex caseload, whilst attending clients from initial arrest to trial. This is an office-based opportunity.

Responsibilities

• Representing clients detained at police stations
• Attending police stations
• Magistrates’, Youth and Crown Court cases
• Appeals
• High-profile cases
• Bail applications
• Judicial review
• Murder
• Sexual assault
• Fraud
• Motoring offences
• Drafting instructions to counsel and expert witnesses
• Representing vulnerable clients

The Candidate

• Solicitors with at least three years’ PQE in criminal matters
• Crime duty accreditation is advantageous
• A strong communicator, with the ability to explain complex matters in clear manner
• Able to meet tight deadlines whilst maintaining high levels of accuracy
• Works well as part of a team but equally comfortable working on your own initiative
