Job Details

If you are a qualified social worker and wish to have a career in supporting children, young people and their families in a statutory setting then a career in children’s social work service in Fife awaits you. We have a high level of support and supervision to NQSW and offer the opportunities for experiences staff to develop their careers.

We offer post qualifying, support training and supervision and seek to offer a creative training programme to support the workforce to be trauma informed, able to undertake complex assessment of need and risks.

We are currently shaping our future workstyles however, in light of current advice, we are introducing blended home/office working that will include office access days each week with homeworking for the remainder of your working time.

You are required to register with Scottish Social Services Council (SSSC) within 6 months of taking up employment in this role and to complete the required Post Registration Training and Learning (PRTL) over the first registration period.

Responsibilities include;
  • To work as part of a team, supporting individuals and families to access services specific to their needs or risks they may be experiencing.
  • The individual’s responsibility for promoting and safe guarding the welfare of people s/he will be providing support or care for or comes into contact with.
  • Undertaking thorough and informed comprehensive assessments of need and risk.
  • Work individually and/or collaboratively to produce plans to support vulnerable people.
  • Assessing, managing, monitoring, reviewing and developing creative, high quality plans designed to meet the needs of service users as part of a multi-disciplinary team while operating within the framework of service policies and procedures e.g. Health and Safety Regulations, Data Protection Legislation and Confidentiality Policy.
