This new opportunity comes at an exciting time involving transformational change as part of Whole Family Wellbeing. This role will contribute to a whole systems approach to how we co-develop and co-deliver services for children, young people, and families with a focus on prevention as well as targeted and intensive support. The approach to whole family wellbeing will involve a whole system change programme across the Community Planning Partnership to achieve the principles and objectives of holistic family support within the context of The Promise. This role will lead on the delivery of evidence-based programmes and wider opportunities across the 7 localities in Fife, alongside a team of family support workers. The funding for whole family wellbeing has been confirmed for the next 4 years, however this post is initially for a 12-month period to test out new approaches and evaluate what is working and what needs to be scaled up.

This opportunity is open to secondment; however, permission must be agreed with current line Managers before submitting an application.

Key Responsibilities Include
  • Coordinating the delivery of evidence-based parenting programmes and holistic family support.
  • Supervising a team of Family Support workers ensuring a high standard of skills and competency
  • Supporting the local coordination and allocation of resources through participation in local resourcing groups.
  • Supporting co-production with children, young people and families
  • Supporting the development of local systems and processes working closely with Family Nurture Centres locally and across primary and secondary establishments.
  • Working collaboratively with all Community Planning partners to develop a locality-based model.
  • Contributing to evaluation processes to assess impact
The SCP for the role is 31-36 (£ 38,312.49-£46,065.09), consideration will be given to placement on the salary scale for individuals who have demonstrable experience at interview.

The Person

If you meet the essential qualification criteria outlined below and within the job profile, we’d like to hear from you:
  • Qualified to SCQF level 9 which includes a degree or equivalent professional qualification in Social Work, Community Education, Education or equivalent experience
You Should Have Experience In
  • Relationship based practice with children, young people and families working in strength-based way to improve outcomes
  • Development and delivery of a range of opportunities including evidence-based group work and parenting programmes
  • Partnership working supporting co-production at a local level in communities
  • Organisational skills with the ability to coordinate across the whole system
  • Supervision skills to support ongoing development of the workforce
You will be able to travel across Fife
