Social Media & Community Engagement Officers – £25,000 + Benefits – Hessle / Hybrid-working

The Role

MS3 is looking for passionate, friendly and motivated Social Media and Community Engagement Officers who will be a vital part of the marketing team in ensuring outward facing marketing communications are performed in a timely and effective manner to deliver the companies message to the public.

The position works in parallel to all marketing activities to ensure the company is seen as being helpful and engaged with the community in which they serve at all times.

Key Responsibilities:

The key responsibilities of a Social Media & Community Engagement Officers include, but are not limited to:

  • Scheduling and publishing posts (target: minimum of one a day).
  • Creating engaging content.
  • Replying to comments in line with the social media response policy.
  • Replying to direct messages in line with the social media response policy.
  • Reporting any complaints that require Build Team responses through the ZenDesk ticketing system.
  • Replying to complaints once resolved to turn complainers in to customers.
  • Ensuring the company’s image is upheld as being “forward thinking, friendly, professional and helpful” in all responses, posts and comments.
  • Set up and establishing MS3 Networks on emerging platforms other than the big 4 (Facebook, Twitter, Instagram & LinkedIn).
  • Liaising with primary schools within the build areas to take part in the Cabinet Wrap Competitions.
  • Looking for new opportunities for sponsorship among the local communities where work is taking place and presenting them for approval.
  • Tracking and making the most of current sponsorships.
  • Set up of Charity work, including donations and activities in the company’s name.

The Company

MS3 is a fibre network operator based in the Kingston-Upon-Hull area with plans to pass over 500,000 homes and businesses with full fibre. As a wholesale-only provider, MS3 will enable its existing and future ISP clients to provide up to 10Gb connections to end-customers, building on their existing fibre ring through Hull and to more than 30 other locations in the region.

The Person

The key skills and qualities of a Social Media & Community Engagement Officer are:

  • Experience within a similar position where you have had to be methodical and analytical.
  • Good communicator with a ‘can-do’ attitude.
  • Strong organisational skills.
  • High level of accuracy and attention to detail.
  • Strong sense of time management.
  • Experience in managing social media accounts (Facebook, Twitter, LinkedIn & Instagram).
  • Confident in arranging and hosting meetings both face to face and over the internet (Microsoft Teams).
  • Excellent communications skills.
  • Competent with Microsoft Office packages.
  • Competent with social media scheduling platforms.
  • Full UK Driving Licence.
