Responsibilities

This role is to develop SMART Solutions within a manufacturing environment.

  • The ability to Read and Draw Electrical, Pneumatic and Mechanical schematics.
  • Must understand and adhere to strict Workplace Safety Standards and Regulations such as:
    • Wiring Regs BS7671 (18 th Edition)
    • HSW Act 1974
    • PUWER
    • COSHH
  • The ability to safely carry out Electrical Tasks Including:
    • Mains and Panel Circuit Design
    • Mains Voltage Installation (240V AC – 415V AC)
    • Control Voltage Installation (5V DC – 24V DC)
    • Existing Installation Modification
  • Competence in Modern PLC and HMI Programming with emphasis on creating bespoke projects for a working environment including:
    • TIA Portal (Step 7 Professional V15.1 or later, WinCC Advanced V15.1 or later)
    • Safe working practices (Safe Upload/Download)
    • Standard Methodology
    • Safe Project Modification Practices
    • PCS adherence (data security and backups)
  • A Fundamental understanding of both SMART and Business Network architecture.
  • Carry out Windows Server 2019 (or later) Admin Support
  • An understanding of dataPARC architecture including:
    • Machine data Tags
    • OPC UA Clients
    • Kepware
    • dataPARC Displays

Standard office equipment (PC, phone, fax, copier, etc.)

Electrical Test Equipment (Multimeter, Insulation Resistance Test Meter, etc.)

Electrical and Mechanical Hand Tools (Screwdrivers, Spanners etc.)

Power Tools (Disc Cutter, SDS Drill etc.)

Machinery (Lathe, Mill, Pillar Drill etc.)

Forklift

MEWP
  • There may be periodic travel both locally and within the US. Weekend travel and work and participation in conference calls and meetings during late night/early morning hours may be required occasionally.
Qualifications

Experience and Background:

Must have at least 3 years of experience in a manufacturing environment

Batchelors degree in the l atest Electrical Regulations (BS 7671)

Professional career as Mechanical Engineering, Metallurgical, or any other related to the field.
