The role of Field Engineer is to safely carry out site survey, installation, servicing and commissioning of a portfolio of specialist level and density instrument products on customer locations worldwide.

Your responsibilities:
  • Understanding and ensuring compliance with relevant health & safety regulations and quality standards.
  • Safely commission specialist level and density instrument products to customers project specifications, ensuring compliance is always met
  • Packing, labelling and consigning of dangerous goods ensuring all applicable legislation is adhered too
  • Completing the installation & removal of Radioactive Sources on Customer Sites world wide adhering to global legislation
  • Maintaining the Radioactive source database and associated documentation in compliance with all Tracerco Policies and Procedures.
  • Assisting Pre-Fat, FAT and any instrument / equipment testing
  • Maintaining the Radioactive source database and associated documentation in compliance with all Tracerco Policies and Procedures.
  • Servicing of existing installations to ensure correct operation and conformance to current legislation and customers’ requirements
  • Investigating faults of existing installations
  • Analysing data and presenting findings in written reports / presentations
  • Working collaboratively with system design engineers, Project Managers and other field engineers to design, install and commission instrument solutions.
  • Preparing and completing job work packs, commissioning check sheets and completion reports
  • Liaising with clients, suppliers and contractors

Requirements for the role:
  • HNC / Degree in Instrumentation and Control Engineering.
  • Proven track record of previous field experience.
  • Ideally holds current Offshore Medical certificate / BOSIET (Desirable)
  • Member of (or working towards being a) The Institution of Engineering and Technology (IET) (Desirable)
  • Worked on an onshore COMAH site and / or Offshore installation (Desirable)
  • Familiar with industrial instruments and computer systems, PLCs, DCSs or similar programming logic systems. (Desirable)
