Slicer/ Packer

Castell Howell Foods is Wales’ leading independent food service wholesaler, servicing the length and breadth of Wales, the Border Counties and the South West of England. We currently have vacancies for Slicer/Packer based at our Farm Fresh Cooked Meats depot in Carmarthen.

Main Duties and Responsibilities:

• Slicing and packing of gammon steaks
• Slicing and packing bacon products
• Prepare and produce food product in a controlled environment as per daily orders
• Responsible for maintaining a high standard of Personal Hygiene and Food Hygiene practices
• Adhere to Health and Safety practices and observe Health and Safety standards as per current legislation
• Follow and monitor a daily and weekly cleaning schedule
• Responsible for maintaining stock rotation as per correct storage of food products
• Observe the correct method and implementation of packaging and labelling

Previous experiencing of working with meat preferred but not essential as full training will be given.

What we offer:

• Full time positions contracted to 45 hours per week. Working Monday-Friday, 06:00 to 16:00
• £23,400 per annum with potential to increase after successful probationary period
