We are thrilled to partner with Swansea Bay University Health Board in our quest to find a dedicated and enthusiastic Food Service Assistant. If you have a passion for food, a knack for teamwork, and a desire to make a difference, then this opportunity is for you!

Role:

  • Varied working environments mean that you will be working on the wards, it the canteens and in the kitchen.
  • Collaborate with our Operational Services Managers and embrace the thrill of teamwork.
  • Unleash your creativity in the kitchen by preparing a delightful array of meals, snacks, salads, and sandwiches for patients, staff, and visitors.
  • Embrace the challenge of meeting special dietary needs while following our exciting, pre-agreed menus, with support from our nursing staff and expert dieticians.
  • Take on the role of a food safety champion, ensuring top-notch quality by monitoring temperatures and adhering to safety protocols.
  • Elevate the standards of cleanliness and hygiene in all areas, creating an inviting atmosphere for our hospital community.

Requirements:

  • Level 2 food hygiene or willingness to undertake it.
  • Strong communication skills to effectively collaborate with team members and adhere to protocols.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
  • Prior experience in food service or hospitality is advantageous, but not mandatory.

Shifts:

  • Shifts fall between 07:00 - 20:00, so you must be flexible to work between these times.

Pay:

  • £11.44, rising after 12 weeks.
