We are thrilled to partner with Swansea Bay University Health Board in our quest to find a dedicated and enthusiastic Food Service Assistant. Role:
- Varied working environments mean that you will be working on the wards, it the canteens and in the kitchen.
- Collaborate with our Operational Services Managers and embrace the thrill of teamwork.
- Unleash your creativity in the kitchen by preparing a delightful array of meals, snacks, salads, and sandwiches for patients, staff, and visitors.
- Embrace the challenge of meeting special dietary needs while following our exciting, pre-agreed menus, with support from our nursing staff and expert dieticians.
- Take on the role of a food safety champion, ensuring top-notch quality by monitoring temperatures and adhering to safety protocols.
- Elevate the standards of cleanliness and hygiene in all areas, creating an inviting atmosphere for our hospital community.
Requirements:
- Level 2 food hygiene or willingness to undertake it.
- Strong communication skills to effectively collaborate with team members and adhere to protocols.
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
- Prior experience in food service or hospitality is advantageous, but not mandatory.
Shifts:
- Shifts fall between 07:00 - 20:00, so you must be flexible to work between these times.
Pay:
- £11.44, rising after 12 weeks.
