We are looking to recruit two Skilled Tradespersons to join our Property Services Team, assisting the team to deliver a high-quality repairs service to our customers and our void properties.

LIVEWORKCOLLABORATE

Due to expansion of the team, we are searching for skilled, motivated and dependable tradespersons to carry out repairs and maintenance of our housing stock. We welcome applications from people who have a City and Guilds or NVQ qualification or demonstratable experience in any of the construction trades and have a desire to continue to grow and develop their skillset.

About the Role

This will be a varied role, that will include delivery of reactive maintenance works, preparation of void properties for re-letting and working within communal areas to enhance accommodation for our customers.

You will be required to ensure works are carried out as per instruction and with adherence to all health and safety, and safe working practices. There is an expectation that you will be able to problem solve and alter any specification of works to complete your work satisfactorily ensuring right first time.

Operatives in this role will also have shared responsibility for the maintenance and safe storage of all associated vehicles, tools, and equipment.

You’ll utilise a keen eye for detail to assess finished work and ensure it meets the standards set – both in terms of the quality of the workmanship and the service we deliver to tenants.

About You

Ideally, you will have at least 2 years post qualification experience in the construction industry and will have gained experience with other trade backgrounds.

You will possess the ability to work both independently and as part of a team to produce work of a high standard, managing your workload effectively.

You will be an excellent communicator and be able to liaise with all stakeholders. This will include liaising with colleagues across the council as well as all aspects of the housing team, tenants, and subcontractors.
