Looking for your next site supervisor role. We’re looking for proven experience in large projects, supervising a team of engineers and a strong health and safety background! We need someone confident and experienced who can communicate effectively and collaborate with stakeholders. You will be responsible for ensuring the smooth execution and timely completion of electrical installations within the designated project area. Sites across central England, some travel and nights away will be required.

The Person:

  • A people person who is driven, motivated, on the up and genuinely loves what they do!
  • Proven experience in a supervisory role within the electrical industry, preferably in healthcare projects.
  • In-depth knowledge of electrical systems, installations, and maintenance practices.
  • Familiarity with relevant electrical codes, regulations, and industry standards - 2391 Testing & Inspection would be desirable.
  • Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate and guide a team effectively.
  • Excellent problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
  • Exceptional organizational and time management skills to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines.
  • Effective communication skills to collaborate with diverse stakeholders and convey technical information clearly.
  • Willingness to travel and spend nights away from home.

The Role:

Project Supervisor:

  • Plan, coordinate, and supervise electrical activities related to healthcare projects, specifically operating theatres and ward buildings.
  • Collaborate with project stakeholders, including architects, engineers, contractors, and healthcare centre staff, to ensure project objectives are met.
  • Monitor project progress, identify potential issues, and implement appropriate corrective measures to keep the project on schedule.
  • Review project plans, specifications, and electrical drawings to ensure compliance with regulations and industry standards.
  • Maintain accurate project documentation, including reports, change orders, and progress updates.

Electrical Supervision:

  • Supervise and lead a team of electricians and technicians, providing guidance, training, and performance feedback.
  • Oversee the installation, maintenance, and repair of electrical systems, ensuring compliance with safety protocols and regulations.
  • Conduct regular inspections to identify potential hazards, equipment malfunctions, or code violations and implement corrective actions promptly.
  • Monitor inventory levels of electrical materials and equipment, ensuring availability for the project’s needs.
  • Coordinate with external vendors and subcontractors to ensure the timely delivery of required electrical components and services.

Quality Assurance:

  • Ensure that electrical installations adhere to project specifications, industry standards, and applicable codes and regulations.
  • ffPerform quality control inspections to verify the proper functioning and safety of electrical systems and components.
  • Implement and enforce safety protocols and best practices to minimize risks and maintain a safe working environment.
  • Collaborate with the project team to identify areas for process improvement and implement effective solutions.

Communication and Collaboration:

  • Foster effective communication and collaboration between team members, project stakeholders, and data centre staff.
  • Provide regular project updates and reports to project managers, highlighting progress, challenges, and recommended solutions.
  • Attend project meetings, contribute insights and expertise, and address electrical-related concerns or queries.
  • Liaise with healthcare centre staff to understand their electrical needs and ensure their requirements are met during the project.
