A team of 50 and loads of improvement to be made within the environment - A SAFETY FIRST culture. Working with Looking for someone who wants to continuously improve and raise the bar every day! To do: Manage the tam, the environment, the safety culture and continuous improvement of all value stream personnel, contractors and visitors. (ultimately create an incredible production and manufacturing environment)

Mentor, manage and coordinate the standards for production / operational activities. Dictate behaviours in-line with company standard of acceptance and in accordance with values and expectations.

Remodel value stream activities towards world-class performance; make continuous improvement standard practice. Educate, develop and inspire team members towards betterment and achievement.

Essential Duties And Responsibilities Include The Following

Safety management and improvement. Pro-active safety improvement opportunity approach. Understand essential value stream hourly performance and connect to improvement plans impacting efficiency and cost control. Value Steam Leaders education and improvement. Ensure operational performance is managed to a ’first class standard. Surpass Policy Deployment project targets and time frames and those of your team’s commitments. Management of VSL performance and contributions, including absenteeism and discipline. Continuous improvement of production processes impacting quality and productivity. Achieve ’planned production volumes’ resulting in exceptional OTIF performance. Be responsible for the VS product quality standards and the continuous improvement of these standards through system compliance and demonstrable 3c prioritisation and achievement. Team member skills / capabilities gap analysis. Maintain VS skills matrix and impact flexibility and contributions. Through the deployment of 5s methodology, continuously improve value stream operational areas to impact organisational standards, efficiency and cost control.
The Person:Must have a ’SAFETY FIRST’ culture with a zero tolerance and continuous safety improvement mentality.
Must have previous manufacturing / value stream experience. Must have previous Teams management experience. Experience within a disciplined and system controlled environment. Experience of working with a SQDCIP (or equivalent) production management system. Experience of working within a medium to large size OEM company environment. Previous Trade Union environment preferred but not essential. Previous metal processing manufacturing experience preferred but not essential.
