A leading energy company are looking for a talented Site Quality Engineer to join the team at the Hartlepool Power Station and oversee the Piping Package on the site.

About the role:

Conduct Site Quality Induction.

Ensure site quality objectives are monitored and tracked.

Review the List of Applicable Documents submitted by the subcontractors.

Monitor the quality activities of the partners and subcontractors versus the Inspection and Test Plan, check the results of the tests are documented according to the relevant standards / project requirements.

Involvement in ensuring all witness and hold points as per the ITPL are notified to the client.

Involvement in site inspection / testing.

Verify the welding documentation to ensure accuracy.

Monitor welder failure rate.

Verify that no NCFSI in site procured material by the partner / subcontractors.

Monitor and track site QRA to ensure compliance.

Ensure compliance to Nuclear Safety requirements / PED / EN.

Verify and review the completeness and correctness of the Site Work Conformance Files (SWCF).

Train partners and subcontractors the use of the quality tools.

Perform quality audit and random inspections internally, and on partners and subcontractors.

Submitting monthly reports.

What you will need:

ISO9001 lead auditor qualification is required.

Welding Inspector Qualification required.

Engineering or university or bachelor’s degree in quality management, mechanical or electrical is required.

NDT qualification in PT, MT, UT & RT.

Experience in working in multicultural construction site for at least 2 complete projects in quality role.

Knowledge and experience in piping, mechanical.

Experience in welding inspection.

Experience in Non-Destructive Examination (NDT);

Experience and knowledge in the use of MS office (word, excel, power point), Adobe Professional, Nero.

Experience in corrosion protection (painting, galvanizing) is desirable.
