My client is a leading multi-billion-pound contractor specialising in infrastructure development and highways improvements across the UK. Position Overview: They are currently seeking a highly skilled and motivated Site Agent to join our dynamic team. The successful candidate will play a pivotal role in overseeing and managing highways improvement projects, ensuring the highest standards of quality, safety, and efficiency are maintained throughout. Key Responsibilities: Project Management: Take ownership of highways improvement projects from inception to completion, ensuring all objectives are met within set timelines and budgets. Subcontractor Management: Coordinate and manage subcontractors effectively, ensuring compliance with project specifications, schedules, and quality standards. Risk Assessment and Method Statements (RAMS): Review and approve RAMS to ensure all potential risks are identified, assessed, and mitigated effectively, in compliance with industry regulations and company policies. Method Statements: Review and evaluate method statements provided by subcontractors, ensuring they align with project requirements, safety regulations, and best practices. Task Briefings: Conduct comprehensive task briefings to ensure all personnel are briefed on their roles, responsibilities, and safety protocols before commencing work on-site. Quality Assurance: Implement robust quality assurance processes to maintain the highest standards of workmanship and compliance with project specifications. Health and Safety Compliance: Enforce strict adherence to health and safety regulations and company policies to minimize risks and ensure a safe working environment for all personnel. Stakeholder Liaison: Maintain effective communication with clients, stakeholders, and project teams to provide regular updates on project progress, address any concerns, and ensure alignment with project objectives. Reporting: Prepare accurate and timely reports on project progress, including milestone achievements, budgetary performance, and any issues or challenges encountered.Requirements: Degree in Civil Engineering or relevant field. Proven experience in a similar role, preferably within the highways or infrastructure sector. Strong project management skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to liaise effectively with stakeholders at all levels. In-depth knowledge of health and safety regulations, RAMS, and method statement procedures. Experience in subcontractor management and procurement processes. Proficient in the use of project management software and tools.
