Job Description

• Production of financial and non-financial management information for senior management.
• Analysis of business performance, identifying variances to budget and their causes.
• Preparation of monthly balance sheet reconciliations.
• Capital expenditure tracking and reporting.
• Project accounting tasks and liaison with both the Commercial & Project teams.
• Provide support to external auditors at year end.
• Support the Group Management Accountant as required.
• Any other reasonable task delegated by management.

The Successful Applicant

• The successful candidate is likely to be either qualified or at the least at the later stages of their professional examinations (ACCA or CIMA). Applications from QBE’s may be considered, depending on their experience.
• Candidates with experience of manufacturing is highly desirable, although not essential.
• Specific skills. The successful candidate is likely to have broad experience and be comfortable with both financial and management accounting. They must be proficient in all elements of MS Office and in particular Excel.
• Personal characteristics. This is a new role and as such presents an opportunity to help shape the controls, processes and reports for this business, which has orders in hand to support very substantial growth in the next two years. As a result, we are looking for someone who can constructively challenge our excepted norms, whilst being able to accept that sometimes things cannot be changed.
