Key Responsibilities

Takes ownership during a shift, ensuring consistent delivery of a quality Butlin’s experience in line with brand/venue guidelines. Confidently deals with guest and team concerns with the ability to solve problems with empathy and understanding. Monitors speed of service/delivery and is proactive in arranging appropriate resources/support to ensure the guest experience is not affected. Demonstrates and role models a commitment to delivering a superior guest experience in everything you do. Role Models the Mission statement values and leads by example by working alongside their team and supporting them during trading /operating hours. Competent and knowledgeable in the delivery of your venue/departments operating standards. Prioritises the guest to ensure their experience is the best it can be, and they leave delighted. Creates an environment where every Team member is encouraged to never stop looking and learning to perform at their best, whilst leading and coaching the team. Takes accountability for ‘on the job’ training and verification of the standard achieved. Takes accountability for the delivery of the 90 process for every new team member. Takes accountability for carrying out PDP’s with Team members and checking in at regular intervals throughout the year. Sets Goals and task relevant to a Team members career path and development needs. Is aware of individual team members goals and supports them through coaching to achieve these through Butlin’s way of working. Monitors, coaches and provides feedback on Team members performance, escalating any concerns to the venue manager. Supports with the organisation and roll out of department activities, including compliance training. Understand how to recruit a great Butlin’s Team Member Able to take accountability for their venue/dept in their Line Managers absence, including communicating on the resort radio. Have sufficient understanding of all systems and processes within the department to make informed decisions during your shift. Have sufficient understanding of budgets/guest weeks and other influencing factors to make decisions during your shift and be able to report on your venue’s performance. Have sufficient understanding of Sam to support your Line Manager to produce accurate and timely rosters and other essential task connected to the payment of our team. Have a high level of operational knowledge specific to your area of expertise and shares this knowledge with the team, continually looking for better ways of working. Understands cost controls within the department and acts accordingly. Understands and always delivers against the 5 critical questions to drive team engagement and works with Line Manager to identify opportunities to provide an engaging and fulfilling place to work. Demands the best of yourself and others and addresses performance issues in a correct and timely manner. Acts in the best interest of the company to protect the assets and pro-actively maintain equipment and premises. Ensures compliance with relevant H&S, Food safety, compliance regulations etc within your area of responsibility. Monitors team levels and is proactive in arranging appropriate resources that is reflective of guest numbers, escalating to Leaders where necessary.

The Ideal Candidate Must Have

Understanding of different communication styles and an ability to communicate effectively Understand the Butlin’s Way of Working and Bourne Leisure Mission Statement Experience relevant to the department. Previous experience of leading a team. Problem solving attitude.
