Shipping & Materials Handler - 6-month FTC

We are recruiting for a Shipping & Materials Handler to accurately pack and process paperwork for all motion control finished goods and complete all shipping transactions for same day shipment.

Your Responsibilities

• Processing paperwork for outgoing shipments, including the printing of delivery notes and the picking of items for shipping, both of which need to be extremely accurate.
• Carry out daily cycle counts.
• Ensure a smooth and consistent flow of products in priority order.
• Complete courier bookings for all types of customer orders.
• Maintain a tidy and clean distribution area in line with 5S principles
• Using reports available to determine the correct shipping location.
• Maintain on time deliveries to UK customers via daily Transit shipments.
• Ensure safe handling of products in line with health and safety best practice.
• Packing finished goods in line with SOPs.
• Box cutting.
• Accurate picking of additional packing and supplementary items.
• Ensuring that goods are labelled accurately.
• Manual handling of boxes, crates and bags.

Requirements

• Experience within a stores/logistics function.
• Safety conscious team player.
• Good communication skills.
• Computer literate.
• Good time management skills.
• Good numeracy skills and high attention to detail.
• Able to work unsupervised during busy periods and with tight deadlines.
  

Duration: 6-month Fixed Term Contract

Working hours:Monday to Thursday 7:30am to 4:30pm and Friday 7:30am to 12:30pm
