Summary

We are recruiting for Electro-Mechanical Assemblers to join our Motion Control Unit at our new production facility on Lancaster Way Business Park, Ely.

As an Electro-Mechanical Assembler, you are responsible for assembling products to a high-quality standard, by following specific standard operating procedures. You will be assembling many different types of products that make up the motion control portfolio. Our products and individual mechanical components can be very small and therefore require precise and accurate placement, to achieve the desired result. You will be working at an individual workbench, set up with the tools and fixtures along with a PC for you to follow the standard operating procedures on. Our product portfolio ranges in different levels of complexity, some products can be simple assemblies taking approximately 15 minutes and other products that can take up to 10 hours assembly time.

Your Responsibilities
  • Assembly of products to a high-quality standard
  • Handling of small mechanical components
  • Soldering
  • Following onscreen documented Standard Operating Procedures
  • Carrying out administrative tasks when required
  • Daily tasks to ensure your workstation and surrounding areas are compliant with health and safety procedures

Essential Requirements
  • Electro-Mechanical, Soldering or Assembly experience is desirable
  • Experience of working to precise tolerances would be beneficial
  • Have a ‘can do’ attitude and you are flexible to adapt to the needs of your team and our customer base
  • Communicate clearly with colleagues and Team Leaders on any production related issues
  • Take pride in your work - ensuring that after a training period every product you build is to the required quality standard
  • A positive approach to continuous improvement activities

We would also encourage applications from individuals who are looking to start their career in Electro-Mechanical assembly, as we provide full training and support.

If you enjoy troubleshooting, finding root causes and solutions for technical problems this is helpful. Experience of metrology techniques, engineering measuring systems and testing mechanical / electronics products would be beneficial, however this can be trained.

Duration:
6 month Fixed Term Contract

Working Hours:
Monday-Thursday 7:30am-4:30pm & Friday 7:30am-12:30pm
