Staff365 are looking to recruit a Lamination Shift Manager for our client based in Ripley.
Salary: Highly competitive



Hours: Nights 4 on, 4 off 6pm to 6am Pension contributions life assurance 3 x annual salary 20 days + stats (increases by 1 day for each full calendar year worked up to a maximum of 24 days)The Lamination Shift Manager will be responsible for the day-to-day management of the team. They will ensure all production KPI’s and deadlines are met. The Shift Manager will work alongside the wider management team to ensure maximum productivity is achieved, whilst ensuring all employees follow the company health and safety procedures and guidelines.Main duties and responsibilities:To ensure the team understand and adhere to the company’s health and safety procedures and guidelines. Carry out investigations through to conclusion for safety, quality, performance and absence management. To be responsible for the day-to-day management of the team. To ensure all production KPI’s and deadlines are met. To ensure employees are fully trained on new and existing machinery and standard operating procedures to guarantee consistent high-quality standards. To work alongside the wider management team to continuously improve productivity and processes in all areas. Effective management of employee resource including annual leave, absence, and overtime to hit required deadlines. To ensure effective control of stock in their departments through adherence to the production plan and liaising with other key team members. To support the maintenance of all machinery and tooling in the department and use technical knowledge to problem solve any arising issues. Manage and review scrap levels in line with company targets. Maintain and review quality control to ensure consistent high standards of quality. Establish and maintain a positive and productive culture through effective engagement with employees. Ensure a high level of housekeeping and cleanliness across the facility. Manage employees in accordance with the relevant company policies and procedures, for example Absence Management, Disciplinary and Performance. Participate and hold daily team briefings to review daily performance and setting team up to achieve daily targets. Identify areas for improvement across all aspects of the department, working with the departmental teams to implementation. Act in a controlled manner when dealing with all types of emergency. Generate and maintain all departmental SWP’s, RA, COSHH Data sheets.Key skills Excellent organisational skills Strong leadership skills Microsoft Application, ERP or SAP systems Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with daily targets Problem solving skills including technical Reading detailed manufacturing drawings/plans as required Great communication skills across all levels of a manufacturing businessKnowledge Good knowledge of manufacturing/fabrication/warehouse operations Product specific knowledge is desirable Background knowledge of mechanical/manufacturing engineering Practical experience of working to Health and Safety and Environmental regulations IOSH or NEBOSH HS qualification- preferred but not essentialExperience Previous experience of working in fabrication/manufacturing environment Previous experience of working with fenestration products Experience of managing a production/fabrication/warehouse team as required Experience in managing stock and inventory levels Lean tools and techniques Workplace planningStaff365 are employment business and equal opportunities employer.
