Shift Cover Engineer

Newly Weds® Foods Ltd are seeking to recruit an experienced Shift Cover Engineer to provide a rapid response to maintenance and breakdown issues throughout the plant and fulfilling duties of the role in a safe, responsible and timely manner.

Responsibilities:

· Ensuring good Manufacturing Code of Practice and product protection practices are followed at all times, including hygiene duties as directed by your Supervisor.

· Ensuring all breakdowns are dealt with in an efficient and safely manner through liaison with the Production Supervisor and Maintenance Supervisor.

· Continually assess the plant and ensure its most efficient running, whilst ensuring you pro-actively evaluate any identified continuous improvements for the plant equipment and are able to identify and rectify problems back to root cause.

· The ability to fault find on complex PLC and electrical control systems.

· Ensure optimum plant output when in production and challenge existing practices.

Skills required:

· Electrical Engineer with Mechanical and Electronic / PLC skills.

· Experience working within a Food or FMCG industry.

· 17th Edition EAWR 1989 required.

· Reliable, punctual, good communicator and team player.

· Self-motivated with attention to detail.

· Respond quickly to breakdowns and minimise plant downtime.

Salary: £48,000 - £54,000 p/a.
