Renfrewshire Health and Social Care Partnership Renfrewshire Council Community alarm Service provides an emergency response service to over 3000 vulnerable people living at home within Renfrewshire. The service contributes to a strategy that embeds technology with the health and social care assessment process.

We are looking to extend our current community alarm responder service. Highly motivated individuals are required to provide emergency response services to vulnerable people living in the community. Working as part of a team, you will react promptly to emergency calls from the control centre, whilst assessing the situation presented and taking appropriate action.

The service uses assistive technology to support care packages and applicants should have an interest/awareness and understanding of technology and its use in relation to care services.

You must have experience of working in a care setting and delivering personal care; have a responsible approach to sensitive information; an awareness of assistive technology, its uses and be willing to learn how to install and programme equipment. You should have the ability to communicate effectively; understand and follow processes and instructions; and have the ability to work a flexible working pattern.

The service operates 365 days throughout the year.

Possession of a Driving Licence is essential, as is the ability to attain the council’s driving assessment and undertake vehicle awareness training and ideally live within the Renfrewshire Council boundary.

You must be willing to undertake relevant training to achieve an SVQ Level 2.

Full training and support will be given to ensure that you maintain the service’s commitment to continuous improvement.
