In this role, you will be a key interface with the customers and build trusting relationships that can stand the test of a developing market.

This Service Sales Specialist has the task of offering the full scope of ABB E-Mobility Service Portfolio to customers within the UK, helping to drive sales volumes and margins across the installed base and towards new customers alike. You will be regularly updating the database with changes made on-site and continually driving new opportunities.

In this role you will play a crucial role in implementing the service sales strategy, with a focus on penetrating installed base and promoting various upgrade, retrofit and value-added solutions.

You will use tact and skill to offer ideas and enhancement to working methods, collaborating with the wider team to capture easy wins and success for everyone.

Your responsibilities
  • Utilizing the database to grasp the existing installed base, and identifying and developing sales opportunities
  • Establishing long-term customer relationships, reacting immediately to issues and demonstrating in-depth technical knowledge of products and solutions
  • Communicating contract details in accordance with ABB offerings and strategy, and managing associated administrative sales processes
  • Preparing and reviewing sales plans and proposing recovery actions when needed
  • Actively promoting ABB’s service products and solutions in marketing activities (e.g. trade fairs and customer meetings) while monitoring trends to develop effective marketing activities
Your background
  • 2 years of experience in sales
  • Sound knowledge of commercial sales preferably in the field services market, ideally to including some knowledge of preventive maintenance, commissioning, and Service Level Agreement of electrical equipment.
  • Knowledge of Salesforce, SAP and other online tools, an appreciation of technology.
  • Ideally some knowledge of contract terms and conditions.
  • The ability to develop and manage customer relationships.
  • A collaborative, solution-focused approach, and strong written and spoken communication skills.
  • Ideally engineering qualification in electrical on mechanical discipline.
  • Strong English Language skill.
  • Current Full Driving License valid in UK.
