This is an opportunity to join a growing team of cyber security engineers and consultants delivering cyber security services and solutions to client companies across the globe in all industry sectors. You’ll work alongside a senior engineer/consultant on all types of project sizes and complexities, with a particular emphasis on an agile approach to identify new and more efficient ways of working. The successful candidate will join our existing graduate development scheme and aim towards further relevant qualifications within a 4 to 5 year period.

Our UK Graduate roles could be based in the North East, North West, Midlands and Cambridgeshire.

This position reports directly to the Cyber Security Team Leader.

Your responsibilities
  • Technical contribution - Support the delivery of Cyber Security services and consulting to industry and energy customers including: Evaluate control systems security regarding customer requirements and compliance with regulations and industry standards;
  • Propose and implement security controls;
  • Carry out system design work, configuration of firewalls, switches and other security related HW;
  • Implement and maintain network security hardware and software;
  • Analysis and troubleshooting of network problems;
  • Configure and install intrusion detection systems;
  • Respond to security issues during each stage of a project’s lifecycle;
  • Evaluate new technologies and processes that enhance cyber security;
  • Presenting concept decisions with risk evaluation to customers in meetings, workshops, seminars etc.;
  • Provide technical support and guidance to sales team for offer preparation;
  • Assist in developing and launching cyber security service offerings locally.
  • Contract management: Identifies variation requests to support contract claims issuing.
  • Planning and control: Follows work plans and cost estimates in one’s area of responsibility. Ensures quality deliverables on time and within targeted cost.
  • Risk and opportunity management:Supports risk assessments and implementation of resulting actions in one’s area of responsibility. Documents and handles technical risks according to mitigation guidelines.
  • Customer: Clarifies technical queries for customers. Interacts with other staff and contractors within one’s scope of deliverables.
Your background
  • Minimum 2:1 Masters degree level qualified in computer science, cyber security or other related degree.
  • Clean UK Driving License.
  • Energetic, enthusiastic and self-motivated candidate.
  • Awareness of industrial control systems - desirable.
  • Awareness of relevant standard and guidance documents such as IEC 62443 and OG86 - desirable.
