Service Manager Band 8a Unscheduled Care

1 year fixed term

The services within the portfolio offer plenty of scope for an aspiring future Senior Manager. The services are on a journey of some large-scale change, in need of design and implementation which brings the opportunity to embed new staffing and patient pathway models. The post covers the Emergency Department (one of the best performing in the Country), Acute Medicine, Same Day Emergency Care and the Medical Day Unit.

There is excellent clinical engagement and passion for service improvement amongst the teams. They require a driven, organised, financially-astute Manager to support the development and delivery of coherent business plans for the future. Working with the clinical multidisciplinary teams and leaders you will ensure Dorset County Hospital continues to deliver high quality care for patients and families facing an emergency presentation and onward admission or alternative pathway.
