As a Barclays Service Manager, you will who will support the Corporate Investment Bank (CIB) stability and resiliency agenda. This individual will possess a customer-centric mindset to provide analytical support and stakeholder management to deliver an effective and sustainable service management approach between the GTIS (Global Technology Infrastructure Services) Infrastructure teams, CIB application Run the Bank (RTB) and the CIB application teams.

Hybrid Working

We are currently in the early stages of implementing a hybrid working environment, which means that many colleagues spend part of their working hours at home and part in the office, depending on the nature of the role they are in. We’re flexible on how this works and it may continue to change and evolve. Depending on your team, typically this means that colleagues spend a minimum of between 20% to 60% of their time in the office, which could be over a week, a month or a quarter. However, some colleagues may choose to spend more time in the office over a typical period than their role type requires. We also have a flexible working process where, subject to business needs, all colleagues globally are able to request work patterns to reflect their personal circumstances

What will you be doing?

  • Holding weekly briefing sessions across the leadership team on infrastructure production stability
  • Providing insights into stability trends and updates on problem resolution
  • Driving a service improvement program. Able to lead change management programs. This includes writing charters, organizing the detailed work and program financials
  • Monitoring and providing insights on daily, weekly, and monthly incident trends. Look for themes for process improvement
  • Collaborating with run the bank (RTB), Global Technology Infrastructure Services (GTIS) partners and CIB Application teams to ensure there is accountability
  • Providing support to the business and stay closely informed (e.g., clearly understand and be able to articulate the issue, and expected resolution timelines)
  • Ensuring our infrastructure team has the right level of support engaged to resolve the issue.

What We’re Looking For

  • Experience with Infrastructure Incident/ Problem management in a financial services organization
  • Customer-service Mindset; excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Excels in working in a face-paced work environment; able to respond decisively to unexpected events
  • Drives, monitors, and measures strategic actions end-to-end through completion

  • Service First experience
  • Excellent problem solving and analytical skills
  • Ability to improve processes
  • Proficient in the use of Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint for the review and presentation of data

Where will you be working?

You will be based in Radbroke, Knutsford. The Barclays Technology Campus just outside Manchester is our tech command centre and a vital strategic powerhouse behind our global operations. The campus is set in a 64 acre self-contained site, in a beautiful green environment and it offers unrivalled facilities for work and for play. We have an onsite gym, as well as outdoor tennis, football and cricket areas, as well as onsite restaurant and coffee shops.
