Main duties of the job

Summary of principle Duties
  • The post holder will manage a range of service improvement programmes and projects that have been agreed with the Divisional General Manager.
  • Work in collaboration with key stakeholders to ensure that service improvements are implemented to meet national targets such as the 26 week patient pathway and Delivery Framework targets
  • Identify and evaluate areas of potential service improvement within the division
  • The post holder will need to ensure ownership of the service improvement work is adopted by the clinical teams and will focus on whole systems approaches designed to ensure patients are placed at the centre of the healthcare delivery system
  • Enables and encourages others to understand and appreciate the influences on services and the reasons why improvements are being made
  • The post holder will work with patients and clinical teams, liaising with division managers in analysing present processes for the delivery of services, measuring baseline performance, identifying and testing out service improvements, quantifying the benefits of improvement work and moving the work forward into every day working practices.
  • The post holder will evaluate with others the effectiveness of service improvements and agrees that further action is required to take them forward
