Job ProfileService Engineer required for our client, a leading Renewable Energy company who constantly reward and recognise their staff. Working as part of the service department, the Service Engineer services, maintains, fault find and fixes issues with Heat Pumps, Solar (PV and Thermal) systems, and the associated equipment installed.The role comes with an assigned company vehicle for business use. Service engineers are expected to keep their van, tools and equipment clean, safe, calibrated and operational. Shared tools should be returned to the service store in the above condition. You will be expected to wear company uniform at all times. This should be kept clean and smart. Uniform and PPE will be provided.The person in this role needs to be approachable, helpful, polite, conscientious and diligent.The Success Of The Role Will Be Measured On

  • Number of return visits for the same or associated issues.

  • Ownership of problems through to solutions.
  • Feedback from work colleagues.
  • Good relationships with partners and manufacturers.
  • Service Engineer Position Overview
    • Understand, identify and solve issues on installed systems.
    • Conduct routine service and maintenance visits for installed systems, ensuring efficiency is optimised.
    • Attend breakdowns to investigate and do fault finding.
    • Conduct initial inspections of systems when arranged by the service administrator.
    • Conduct plumbing and electrical repair/remedial work onsite when necessary to resolve any issues.
    • Identify manufacturer’s faults on installed systems and report back to the office for warranty claims. Ensure faulty parts are labelled and brought back to the office.
    • Stay away for work when necessary
    • Keep up to date with the relevant industry standards.
    • Keep up to date with manufacturer’s installation, service and maintenance requirements.
    Service Engineer Position Requirements
    • Driver’s license- no more than 3 points.
    • Desire to learn about renewable energy systems.
    • Good knowledge of UK Building and Water Regulations and to comply with them.
    • Good understanding of flushing, inhibitors, and additives needed for heating systems.
    Service Engineer Position Remuneration
    • £25,000 - £45,000
    • Vehicle and fuel card
    • Mon-Fri 08:00AM-4:30PM,
